Hilary Young


Hilary Young is an artist and animator from Detroit, Michigan, a former member at Fortress Studios, and a graduate from College for Creative Studies. Born in Lexington, Kentucky, and raised in Rochester, Michigan. She trained in classical ballet for ten years until she began rock climbing as a teenager. Hilary competed in the 2001 Junior National Rock Climbing Championships and moved to Colorado after high school to pursue outdoor endeavors. Hilary came back to Michigan to attend college. There she also spent a semester in New York City with the New York Studio Residency Program where she had an art studio in Brooklyn, and lived on a 24ft sailboat on City Island, New York. Most recently Hilary has been working with the Ann Arbor Film Festival and the Traverse City Film Festival as a designer, videographer, and video editor.
